Issues & Challenges

Summary of top 5 drivers and challenges. For each driver we should have a section that summarizes the driver and links to an article on the challenges. I have included one simple example to kickoff SaaS for the upcoming round table.

SaaS-Software as a Service

Computing resources are becoming a commodity, applications were viewed as strategic. The focus is shifting to business processes, the data, e.g. customer records, workflows, and pricing information as the key value to the company. The cost of providing internally managed applications is increasing and the pressure to reduce expenses are key drivers for adoption of SaaS. For more details and discussion see SaaS-Software as a Service challenges.
